BUSINESS & BIRYANI

at Award Winning Chutney

KuKu Connect held a spicy Connect Reception for June at the award winning Chutney Ivy in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.

This month was a special reception just for members and their guests to celebrate Chutney Ivy being awarded with Restaurant of the Year at the 2017 Leicester Curry Awards.

With the red carpet rolled and ready to greet business guests Chutney Ivy hosted in ultra-glam style in their private Chutney Lounge where flutes of fizz and raspberry were complemented by mocktails for non-drinkers. Spicy canapés floated around on trays with offerings of aloo tikki and shish lamb, but guests were left stuffed after a specially prepared KuKu biryani made especially for the reception to mark the restaurant’s achievements.

KuKu Connect Member Joanna Burrows from Twenty Twenty was the lucky prize draw winner for a Chutney Ivy signature Feast dinner for four people kindly donated by Director Shaf Islam.

“We have been so privileged to have been able to have held all of our Connect Receptions in the very best of Leicester and Leicestershire’s cultural venues, but this has to be one of our most special receptions as we were able to celebrate Chutney Ivy on their award, excellent hospitality and progressive cuisine. It’s a great venue anyway, but the food is just so tasty, and the menu is progressive and offers something a little different as well as some more traditional dishes. The KuKu Biryani was a great feature to our Connect Reception and thanks to Shaf, Simon and their team for hosting us.” Stephen Goddard, Managing Director of KuKu Connect

Once again the Connect Reception attracted a large and diverse range of businesses to what is known as ‘connecting’ – the evolution of traditional networking. With a full guest-list at each monthly event and a new host venue each time members are able to enjoy some of the best locations in the City and County, Chutney Ivy being a fine example. The receptions are relaxed and informal which gives a welcoming atmosphere to those new to networking and a refreshing change for the experienced networker; no pitches, no 60 seconds, no speeches or presentations, just natural relationship building which works.

“We were thrilled to host KuKu Connect as we’ve heard so much about them in the business community in Leicester and with networking. At Chutney Ivy we are all about being different and that’s what we like about KuKu Connect, they are fresh and effective for businesses wanting to network and grow. We enjoyed showing off our venue and it was great to meet a whole new crowd of business owners who were new to Chutney Ivy and our cuisine, and we were really pleased KuKu Connect celebrated our recent award of Restaurant of the Year during their Connect Reception. Great night, great businesses and great company. Hope to see you all again soon.” Shaf Islam, Director, Chutney Ivy

“Our business members give such great feedback on how KuKu Connect works, so our June Connect Reception was a great success with a really enthusiastic buzz. It’s certainly something that is important to us to ensure that our members meet new businesses every month, so they are always building new connections as well as being able to foster business relationships with other members. Membership is growing with an excellent mixture of business sectors, again something important to gain the right mix of people of and businesses, so do come and join us and see for yourself.” Philip Brooks-Stephenson, Development Director
