The winners of the 2018 NAJ Awards were announced at the Benevolent Society Ball on 13 th December. The awards are now in seventh year and the sponsors not only support our wonderful industry but also make a fantastic contribution to the Benevolent Society, the charity which supports retired members of the jewellery community, as well the talent of
today by awarding much needed educational bursaries.

Martine was awarded with a fantastic trophy designed by Lorna McNaught from the Birmingham School of Jewellery, it will serve as a fantastic reminder of the tools of our trade and remain a unique memory for years to come. Martine has been the mainstay of the Lumbers workshop and embraces both repairs and bespoke manufacturing with relish. Being
completely self-taught she has worked upon and made some of the finest jewellery sold in the midlands and, indeed, repaired jewellery with Royal provenance.

and now for me.”
