Derby-based team launches Bleatable to help hospitality venues get chosen, not overlooked
A Derby-based team has launched a new initiative designed to help hospitality venues across Derbyshire attract more customers and increase revenue during the busy tourist season by improving how they are seen and chosen online.
Bleatable, created by JaxMore Food and Drink Photography, brings together professional food photography, clear business information, and a fast, search-friendly Discovery Page that venues can link from across Google, Tripadvisor, listings and social media.
The idea came from a consistent problem seen across the hospitality sector. Customers don’t view venues in one place. They move between Google, Tripadvisor, social media and websites, often within seconds. When images, information and messaging don’t line up, the experience feels unclear, and potential customers move on.
Many venues serve excellent food and deliver great experiences, yet their online presence doesn’t reflect that quality. The result is fewer bookings and lower spend, before a customer even walks through the door.
Bleatable was built to close that gap and join relevant platforms together.
Before founding JaxMore, Adam Jackson worked in IT leadership and project delivery, focused on building systems that bring clarity and consistency. Julia Dallimore spent over 30 years in marketing, helping businesses communicate clearly and connect with customers.
Together, they combined those backgrounds with their award-winning food and drink photography to create a platform that brings everything into one place.
Adam Jackson, co-founder of JaxMore Food and Drink Photography, said:
“We kept seeing brilliant venues across Derbyshire that people would love if they visited, but they weren’t getting chosen online. Customers don’t spend long deciding. If what they see feels unclear or underwhelming, they move on, and that costs bookings. Bleatable gives venues a clear, consistent way to show up properly wherever customers are looking.”
Each Bleatable package includes a single Discovery Page designed to present venues clearly and consistently, supported by professional photography and guidance on how to use those assets across platforms such as Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram.
The commercial impact is well established. Research from Nottingham Trent University found that professional photography can increase customers’ price expectations by up to 40% and make them 38% more likely to buy.
Julia Dallimore, co-founder, added:
“Running a venue is demanding, and marketing often ends up pieced together over time.
Bleatable removes that pressure by bringing everything into one place, so when someone finds you, they can quickly see what you offer and feel confident choosing you.”
Bleatable is launching in Derbyshire first, with a focus on helping local venues make the most of increased visitor numbers throughout spring and summer, with plans to expand into other regions later this year.
A limited number of “Launch Venue” places are available at an introductory rate for early adopters.
Alongside Bleatable, the team is also developing “Bleatable Elite”, a food and travel guide to Derbyshire that will highlight standout venues, local stories, and must-visit destinations across the county.
