What is the dress code?

We do not have a formal dress code but visitors tend to dress smart casual however, we encourage visitors to come along in whatever they feel comfortable wearing.

Where do Connect Receptions take place?

We move to a different venue each month to keep the networking fresh and exciting and to also showcase local businesses and venues. One month we may be in a restaurant and the next we may be in a chocolate shop but we will always let you know in advance.

Do I have to attend each month?

No you do not but we do suggest trying to attend as often as you can so that you can build relationships with our other Members and guests.

Do I have to arrive for 6pm?

The Connect Receptions take place from 6-8pm so we recommend arriving for 6pm to maximise your evening, however, if you are delayed or have another commitment then you are welcome to arrive any time after 6pm.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring yourself and your business cards if you have any.

Is there food and drink?

At every Connect Reception there is complimentary food and drink. Generally, this is a couple of alcoholic drinks (with non-alcoholic options!) and light food such as canapes. As every venue is different we enjoy different food and drink each month.

Will I need to stand up and speak?

No. Our Connect Receptions are very relaxed and you are free to move around the room as you please and talk to whoever you choose. If you are a nervous networker then do let us know in advance and we will be sure to look after you!

Can I send a representative or bring guests?

If you cannot attend a Connect Reception but would still like to be represented then you can send someone from your organisation in your place. Additionally, as a member of KuKu Connect you are also welcome to bring a new business guest for free each month if it is their first visit to KuKu Connect.

How much does KuKu Connect cost?

We currently operate in four counties; Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and you may choose to join as many of these counties as you wish. However, you may only visit the Connect Receptions in the county you are a member of. Membership is based on a 12 month contract as we believe networking takes time and should be something you ‘invest’ in for at least 12 months. Membership includes all of the extra member benefits listed on our join page.

*Look out for our flash sales throughout the year where the joining fee is temporarily lifted or, if you have attended a Connect Reception as a guest you might be lucky enough to receive a ‘Golden Ticket’ which waives the one off joining fee.

What does membership include?

Membership includes everything listed on the joining page. There are no hidden extras as our primary objective is to connect your business with other businesses.

What makes KuKu Connect different?

We celebrate all of the different kinds of networking out there and at KuKu we like to treat networking as a relaxed affair. At our Connect Receptions there are no pitches, no presentations and no push meaning you are free to talk to whoever you like throughout the evening, come and go as you please and if you’re a member, share your news with us.

We don’t disappear in between Connect Receptions either so if you would like us to share your news, event or offer with our networks then we will – in the form of blogs, vlogs or video interviews. Members also receive a Privilege Card which unlocks a whole host of member only savings and incentives.
