Poppy-PR nets new client as Emile Heskey joins anti abuse football app
Poppy-PR is celebrating a fresh new win after landing a new client linked to a football app backed by former England goal machine Emile Heskey.
The deal came via a trusted referral from a long-standing client, proving Poppy-PR is still top of the league when it comes to results driven PR.
The agency will now lead strategic communications for the app, helping it climb the table nationally while building long term brand credibility.
Tina Clough, managing Director of Castle Donington based Poppy-PR said: “This project isn’t just about football, it is about making the game a better place for everyone. Tackling abuse and improving behaviour across football is a big issue, and having Emile Heskey involved gives the message real authority.
“We are over the moon to be working with Emile and the team behind the app, it’s a huge win for us as an agency and testament to our hard work and reputation here at Poppy-PR.”
Emile Heskey said: “I’ve been genuinely impressed by the work Poppy-PR has done since coming on board. From the outset, their approach has been proactive, focused and incredibly professional, and it was clear very quickly that they understood both the project and what we were trying to achieve. Their work ethic has really stood out, nothing has felt rushed, everything has been well thought through and driven by results.
“To see coverage land so quickly in the publications we most wanted to be in has been brilliant. Getting the app featured across key national titles has given the project real credibility and momentum, and I’m over the moon with the service so far. Poppy-PR have done exactly what you want a PR team to do – open doors, tell the story properly and deliver meaningful results.”
Poppy-PR helps ambitious brands play a strong media game through clear storytelling, solid journalist relationships and consistent national coverage. Since kickoff, the agency has already scored national coverage for the app on talkSPORT, the Mirror, Daily Express, BBC News, The Daily Mail and the Guardian.
At the heart of the app is a mission to challenge the culture of abuse that too often overshadows the beautiful game. Using technology and high profile backing, it aims to promote respect, accountability and better behaviour across football. Poppy-PR’s role is to keep that message front and centre, not lost in the small print.
The latest win adds to Poppy-PR’s growing reputation for helping brands and well known figures achieve national visibility through smart PR built on credibility, clarity and impact.
