STATON YOUNG ENTER EXCITING 20 YEAR LEASE

Staton Young are delighted to announce they have entered into a 20-year Lease for the property 38 Carver Street, Sheffield allowing them to facilitate a multi-use site complimenting the Heart of the City II Development.

This latest acquisition for Staton Young; Property Management Professionals, will enable them to bring Cubo, their new brand of serviced offices to Sheffield.  Cubo Sheffield, due for completion in 2020, will be an accession to Cubos rapidly expanding portfolio with existing sites in Nottingham and Derby both of which are currently undergoing a full re-development.

Cubo addresses the needs of the modern worker with the emphasis on co-working to include private offices, designated desks or membership for hot-desking.  Our buildings will provide many additional benefits to our members including meeting rooms, printing stations, games rooms, gym area and free beverages (from tea and coffee to beer and prosecco).  Staton Young have worked closely with Leonard Design Architects to ensure the perfect working environment for all.

John Morgan, Director at Leonard Design, said: “It’s been great to work with Rebecca, Marc and the Staton Young team to develop this concept. Our team visited innovative co-working spaces in London, New York and Oslo to bring the best elements of each to Cubo in Sheffield. It’s very exciting that another piece of the Heart of the City II masterplan is being brought forward and delivered.

Cubo offers an exciting, experience-led working environment that will not only attract but retain Sheffield’s young entrepreneurs and graduate talent. Alto, the rooftop sky-bar, will become a popular destination, making Cubo an attractive place to set up a business and work, as well as a vibrant place to socialise and spend leisure time.”

38 Carver Street sits at the very heart of the vibrant City of Sheffield.  A 5-storey glass fronted building currently having approximately 27,000 sq ft over all floors however, Cubo plans to extend the overall floor space to 32,000 sq ft.

In addition to offices, Alto, Nottingham’s most popular roof top bar is to occupy the top floor of 38 Carver Street, bringing a new and exciting dynamic to Sheffield’s nightlife. Alto will house 2 bars, an exclusive VIP area and of course an external roof terrace affording magnificent views across the beautiful City of Sheffield and the developing skyline of Sheffield Heart of the City II Development.

Marc Brough (Managing Director) commented:

“We are extremely excited to be bringing the Cubo brand to Sheffield. Cubo are quickly expending their brand across the country and the vibrant City of Sheffield feels like a natural addition.”
